Jorge Xolalpa is an Out100 honoree, award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, author, public speaker, and activist. Born in Mexico and raised in Los Angeles, California, he is a DACA recipient whose work has earned widespread recognition for its emotional depth, surrealism, visual minimalism, and commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices. Known for Your Iron Lady, Lolita, and the unapologetically queer dramedy series Strangelove, Xolalpa explores identity, resilience, belonging, and the immigrant experience through emotionally resonant storytelling and fearless creativity.
